We weren’t allowed to play outside for days and days, and I was afraid that he’ll never get to know the feeling to walk bare-fooded on fresh grass. It still was a beautiful spring though – surreal somehow. Maybe the first time in my life that I began to think about the finiteness of all things. I was nine years old.
