Five days ago, in the northeastern port city of Dalian, China, two oil pipelines exploded, sending flames hundreds of feet into the air and burning for over 15 hours, destroying several structures – the cause of the explosion is under investigation. The damaged pipes released thousands of gallons of oil, which flowed into the nearby harbor and the Yellow Sea. The total amount of oil spilled is still not clear.

This winter already 13 homeless people died on Berlin streets. The motz & Co e.V. now launched their Survival Collection during Fashion Week – a jacket made out of newspapers to draw attention to this problem and raise donations. Via

While people all over the world are marking the 75th anniversary of the birth of Elvis Presley, we would like to give a big shout out to a treasure who is still with us – University of Cambridge professor emeritus Stephen Hawking, who turned 68 years old on January 8. Hawking is a theoretical physicist who is regarded as one of the most intelligent men alive.

We finally managed to recover most of our content, upgraded the blogdesign and asked Mr. Boba Fett to bring in that admin that deleted all our websites by ‘accident’. There is still some CSS debugging to do including the final steps on our corporate site but it’s a start for 2010. Happy new fear!
